Russia's Syzran oil refinery attacked again: fire breaks out – photos, videos

The Syzran oil refinery in Russia's Samara Oblast came under attack on the night of 7-8 August. A series of explosions has been heard at the facility, followed by a fire.

Details: Monitoring Telegram channels reported that a fire had broken out at the oil refinery following a drone attack.

Both drone and missile alerts were reportedly issued in the area. However, as of now, local Russian authorities had not commented on the consequences of the attack.

There were also reports from monitoring sources of an attack on the Ilsky oil refinery in Russia's Krasnodar Krai.

The Syzran oil refinery is located in Russia's Samara Oblast and is part of the country's oil industry. The facility produces, among other things, motor and marine fuel and its capacity is estimated at approximately 8.9 million tonnes of oil per year.
