According to the Navy, the reconnaissance equipment deployed on the platform enabled Russian forces to detect the movement of Ukrainian drones and uncrewed surface vessels.
"The platform also hosted elite Russian special forces units and stored weapons, including man-portable missile systems and other equipment used to counter Ukrainian drones and uncrewed surface vessels," the Navy added.
Background: Earlier, Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces reported destroying three Russian naval assets during operations on 7 August.
