Ukraine hits S-400 missile system in Gelendzhik that launched missiles against Ukraine previous day

Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces struck a position of a Russian S-400 Triumf air defence system in Gelendzhik, Krasnodar Krai, on the night of 8-9 August. According to the Unmanned Systems Forces, the system had launched six missiles against Ukraine the previous day.

Details: Brovdi said that on 8 August, between 09:25 and 12:51, the S-400 system positioned near Gelendzhik carried out six missile launches. Following the Ukrainian drone attack, the position burned for around three hours, according to Madyar.

In addition, the Unmanned Systems Forces reported striking four other assets of Russia's air defence on the night of 8-9 August: a Tor air defence system in Rostov Oblast, a Pantsir-S1 air defence system near Yeysk, and Podlyot-K1 and Kasta 2E2 radar stations in Rostov Oblast.

Background: Brovdi previously reported strikes on three Russian vessels in the Black Sea – an oil tanker and two bulk carriers. He did not specify the extent of the damage they sustained.
