Russians attack Ukraine with missiles and 138 UAVs: 112 drones downed, Air Force provides no details on missiles

Russian forces have attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile, a Kh-31P anti-radiation missile, Kh-35 air-launched missiles and 138 UAVs of various types since the evening of 11 August. Ukrainian forces downed 112 of the drones.

Quote: "As of 09:00, air defence forces had shot down/jammed 112 enemy Shahed, Gerbera and other types of UAVs in the north, south and east of the country. Strikes by enemy aerial assets had been recorded at 16 locations, and debris from downed assets landed at two locations."

Details: The attack is being repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from the defence forces.

Once again, the Air Force did not specify the total number of missiles launched on Ukraine and provided no information on whether any of them have been downed.

As of 09:00, the Russian attack is ongoing, as several Russian UAVs are still in Ukrainian airspace.

Background:

• On 10 August, the Air Force urged the media not to fuel pessimistic sentiment among Ukrainians with sensational headlines about "missiles not being shot down", saying that air defence forces counter combined Russian attacks every day using all available means.
• Following this, the Air Force stopped reporting the number of Russian missiles launched and downed.
