Some consumers in three Ukrainian oblasts left without power due to combat operations

Some consumers in Donetsk, Sumy and Kharkiv oblasts are temporarily without electricity as a result of Russian drone attacks and artillery shelling.

Details: Repair work is ongoing wherever the security situation permits. Energy workers are doing everything possible to bring power back to all consumers as quickly as possible.

Ukrenergo notes that electricity consumption is in line with seasonal levels. As of 09:30 on 14 August, consumption was at the same level as the previous day, Thursday.

No restrictions are forecast for today. Active energy consumption today should be shifted to daytime hours, from 10:00 to 17:00.

Background:

• On 13 August, Russian attacks caused new power outages in Odesa Oblast and additional outages in Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson oblasts.
• According to early estimates, Ukraine's energy system passed through the period of record August heat without the use of scheduled power cuts.
