Russia launches ballistic missile attacks on several Ukrainian regions: Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava oblasts targeted

Russian forces launched a large-scale attack on several regions of Ukraine using ballistic missiles and attack drones on the night of 15-16 August, targeting the cities of Kyiv, Kryvyi Rih, Kamianske and Kremenchuk.

Details: At 00:58, the Air Force reported detecting high-speed targets heading towards cities in Ukraine's central and eastern oblasts.
Quote from the Air Force: "Missile heading for Kamianske... Kremenchuk... Kryvyi Rih."
Details: Oleksandr Vilkul, Head of the Kryvyi Rih Defence Council, said the city was under a combined attack involving ballistic missiles and UAVs.
Suspilne correspondents also reported explosions in Dnipro.
Update: At 02:47, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile attack on Kyiv. At least five explosions were heard in the city.
The overnight missile attack caused fires in the capital.
"Kyiv is under ballistic missile attack. Stay in shelters!" Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko stressed.
