Ukraine has begun using British drones for long-range strikes on Russian territory over the past six months.

Details: The drones used in the strikes have included the jet-powered Nyan, made by BAE Systems, and another British drone whose name and manufacturer have not been disclosed for security reasons. The Nyan was reportedly used in a strike on Belgorod, near Ukraine's border with Russia.
British drones have also been used to strike oil refineries near Moscow and in Yaroslavl and Volgograd. The Times did not specify which British-made drones were used in the attacks.
The Times learned about the use of British drones from sources in Ukraine's Armed Forces. One source told the newspaper that Ukraine uses domestically produced drones for most of its long-range strikes, but British-made drones are also being used successfully.
The BAE Systems website states that the Nyan has been designed for long-range strikes in highly contested environments. The drone has been tested on land and at sea, including during Exercise Spring Storm in Estonia, and launched from the Royal Navy's experimentation ship XV Patrick Blackett.
Background: On the night of 15-16 August, Ukraine struck the Kamensky Combine, a solid rocket fuel plant in Russia's Rostov Oblast, near the Ukrainian border.
