Fuel sale restrictions spread again to nearly all of Russia – Reuters
A new wave of fuel shortages that began in early August has already spread to nearly all of Russia.

Details: Petrol was once again unavailable at some filling stations in Moscow Oblast on the morning of 17 August, although diesel was available at almost all petrol stations.
The fuel crisis, which began gaining momentum in May and spread to nearly all Russian regions by July, was caused by seasonal growth in demand and the shutdown of several oil refineries following drone attacks.
By the end of July, the situation had stabilised and restrictions were lifted or significantly eased in some regions. However, the respite did not last long.
A new wave of drone attacks on oil refineries in late July and early August triggered another round of restrictions.
Most Russian regions are now seeing severe restrictions on fuel sales, while partial restrictions are in place in 16 regions.
The Russian government said the most difficult fuel supply situation was in Orenburg, Lipetsk, Oryol and Tver oblasts, Krasnodar Krai, Zabaykalsky Krai, Primorsky Krai and Krasnoyarsk Krai, as well as in Tuvan Autonomous Oblast and Khakas Autonomous Oblast.
