Russia develops drone designed to strike power lines

Russia has developed a new drone designed to attack Ukrainian energy infrastructure.

Quote: "For example, not long ago the Russians developed a drone designed to strike electricity pylons – power lines. Its wings contain an explosive element capable of cutting through metal."

Details: Skibitskyi says defence industry companies, military facilities, energy and logistics infrastructure, as well as petrol stations, will remain the primary targets of Russian attacks in autumn and winter.

"In winter, our most vulnerable point is electricity and heating, so they too may come under attack," he noted.

The DIU representative added that these conclusions are based on analysis of Russian intelligence activities on the territory of Ukraine, including the use of spacecraft for reconnaissance of critical infrastructure facilities.
