Russia attacks Ukraine with 65 drones and two ballistic missiles, air defence downs 58 aerial assets
Russian forces attacked Ukraine with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 65 drones of various types on the night of 18-19 August. Ukraine's air defence forces have destroyed or jammed 58 aerial assets.

Details: From 18:00 on 18 August, Russia used two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 65 Shahed (some jet-powered) and Gerbera attack drones, Banderol loitering munitions and Parodiya decoy UAVs.
The drones were launched from the Russian city of Kursk as well as from the temporarily occupied cities of Donetsk and Hvardiiske in Crimea.
Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.
Quote: "As of 08:30, [Ukrainian] air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 56 Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones and two Banderol loitering munitions in the country's north, south and east.
Hits by aerial assets had been recorded at 10 locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at three locations."
Details: The Air Force said that as of 08:30, the attack is still ongoing, as several Russian drones are still in Ukrainian airspace.
