Details: Fedorov's team said the trip is related to defence tech projects.
Quote: "The main purpose of the trip which is potentially being planned is to attract resources for new projects in the field of defence tech."
Details: The press service stated that no meetings with American politicians or officials are scheduled.
The Kyiv Independent earlier reported that Fedorov may fly to the US as early as next week.
Meanwhile, The Guardian has suggested that the trip is intended to help drum up support from Washington for the idea of holding elections in Ukraine.
Background:
- In a public address on 18 August, Fedorov insisted that Russia cannot be allowed to determine when Ukrainians can once again elect their government.
- In March 2026, Zelenskyy stated that elections would take place "after the war is over, not during a temporary ceasefire".
