Liev Schreiber visits site of Russian attack in Kyiv where residential building was hit

American actor and screenwriter Liev Schreiber, a UNITED24 ambassador who was in Kyiv during another large-scale Russian attack on the night of 19-20 August, visited the Solomianskyi district, where people were killed after a nine-storey residential building was hit.

Details: After showing his audience the scene of the tragedy, Schreiber admitted in a video that what troubled him most was the choice of targets for these attacks. In addition to the residential building, a children's hospital and a school were damaged.

"I mean, it's so clearly an attack designed to hit civilians," Schreiber said.

The actor stressed that missile defence is an extremely important issue.

"That's something America used to provide. Hopefully, we can figure out how to get that programme going again," he said.

Background: This is not the first time Schreiber has visited Ukraine during the full-scale war. He has even begun to understand a little Ukrainian.
