UN Security Council to discuss impact of Russia's war on Ukraine on Independence Day

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has said that the UN Security Council will meet on Ukraine's Independence Day to discuss the consequences of Russia's war against Ukraine.

Details: The discussion will focus on Russia's relentless and increasingly intense missile and drone attacks against civilians across Ukraine.

Quote: "Friday's double-tap strike on a shopping centre in Kryvyi Rih, which killed 16 people and injured 130, including more than 20 children, was a horrific reminder of Russia's deliberate targeting of families, rescue workers and critical civilian infrastructure. "

"We will also address Russia's continued attacks against Ukrainian ports and obstruction of grain exports, actions that deepen global food crisis and endanger millions far beyond Ukraine's borders."
