Rubio: US committed to Ukraine's sovereignty

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has, on behalf of his country, congratulated the people of Ukraine on the 35th anniversary of independence and stressed that the United States remains committed to Ukraine's sovereignty.

Quote: "The United States is committed to Ukraine's sovereignty and continues to work to support a negotiated settlement to the Russia-Ukraine war that establishes a lasting and durable peace."

Details: Rubio added that, on Ukraine's Independence Day, as Ukrainians honour their country's history and celebrate their courage, innovation and resilience, the US are once again emphasising its "strong commitment to advancing our economic and security ties and forging a path towards peace and prosperity for both of our nations".
