Russia attacks Red Cross warehouse in Kherson, causing nearly US$627,000 in damage – photos

A Russian drone attack on the evening of 23 August caused a fire at a Ukrainian Red Cross warehouse in Kherson, with damage to humanitarian supplies estimated at nearly UAH 28 million (about US$627,000).

Details: The organisation said the fire had damaged and destroyed humanitarian supplies stored at the warehouse worth nearly UAH 28 million.

The destroyed supplies included equipment and materials intended for preparations for the autumn and winter period, as well as emergency response stocks for dealing with the aftermath of attacks, including materials for temporarily covering damaged buildings.

The warehouse also contained medical supplies, blankets, hygiene kits, equipment for providing water and electricity, and other humanitarian aid.
