Russian forces have attacked the city of Konotop in Sumy Oblast, destroying premises belonging to an agricultural business and railway infrastructure and leaving parts of the city without gas.

Details: No fatalities have been reported, but a 14-year-old girl was injured.

Dozens of buildings and structures were damaged in the city, and a family's house was destroyed. A section of railway track and several facilities belonging to Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways), Ukraine's state railway operator, were also destroyed.

Background:

  • Russian forces destroyed a shopping and entertainment centre in the village of Slobozhanske, on the northern outskirts of the city of Dnipro, on the night of 24-25 August.
  • Russian forces attacked the Vynohradivka road border crossing on the Moldovan border with a Shahed drone. The crossing is currently closed, and travellers are being redirected to other checkpoints.
