Russian forces strike another industrial facility in Zaporizhzhia

Russian forces have struck the premises of an industrial facility in Zaporizhzhia, causing a fire.

Details: Emergency services are working at the scene, dealing with the aftermath of the strike and inspecting the area. The extent of the damage is not yet known.

Background:

• Over the past day, Russian forces carried out 738 strikes on 56 settlements in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Seven people, including three children, were injured in Russian attacks on the city of Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district.
• Russian forces also carried out fresh strikes on Zaporizhstal (Zaporizhzhia SteelWorks), hitting the same location where plant workers were killed in a previous attack on 11 August.
• It was reported previously that Zaporizhstal has suspended operations completely following a Russian ballistic missile strike that killed seven employees and injured 21 people.
