Russian Tu-95MS bomber suffers wing damage after strike on Engels, analysts say – photo
OSINT analysts have posted video footage showing damage to a Russian Tu-95MS strategic bomber following a strike by Ukraine's defence forces on the Engels-2 airfield on 28 August.

Quote from Stratehichna Aviatsiia: "The strike hit a Tu-95MS aircraft used for training flights, specifically the plane's wing. The aircraft is beyond repair."
Details: The analysts established that as of 11:26 on 28 August, there were two Tu-160 bombers and two damaged Tu-95MS bombers at the airfield.
Separately, an OSINT analyst known as Absolutely Reliable Source posted a satellite image of the airfield. According to their assessment, the Tu-95MS struck on 28 August has a badly damaged right wing. The image also shows a Tu-95MS damaged during a previous strike.
For reference: The Tu-95MS is a Soviet-era strategic missile-carrying bomber currently in service with Russia. According to Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Russian forces use this type of aircraft to strike Ukraine with Kh-101, Kh-555 and Kh-55 cruise missiles.
Background: On the night of 15-16 July, Ukrainian defence forces struck a Russian Tu-95MS strategic bomber. Satellite images of the Engels-2 air base confirmed that the bomber's tail section was completely destroyed and the aircraft is beyond repair.
