Three killed in Russian strike on runners competing in race in Kharkiv Oblast

Russian forces have launched a missile strike on runners competing in a race in Kharkiv Oblast. Three people are currently known to have been killed.

Details: On 29 August, at around 09:30, Russian troops launched a missile strike, reportedly using an Iskander-M system, on the settlement where the event was being held in honour of fallen Ukrainian heroes. Three people were killed in the Russian attack.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched under Article 367.3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – official negligence resulting in loss of life.
Law enforcement officers are now gathering the necessary evidence and assessing the actions of those responsible.
Background: On the night of 21-22 August, the training centre of FC Chornomorets Odesa in Sovinion, Odesa Oblast, sustained significant damage as a result of a Russian attack.
