Ukrainian Ratel presents reconnaissance drone with flight range of up to 30 km – photos, video

Ukrainian defence company Ratel Robotics has presented a reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle called the Ratel R1. The drone has a stated flight range of up to 30 kilometres.

Details: The drone was developed for aerial reconnaissance and surveillance. The Ratel R1 has a stated maximum flight speed of up to 75 kilometres per hour, a flight duration of up to 45 minutes, and a tactical radius of approximately 15 kilometres.

"The optical system provides high-quality image transmission, while satellite communications ensure a stable control and data transmission channel even in challenging electronic warfare conditions," the company's release states.
The drone has a maximum take-off weight of up to 18 kilograms. According to the manufacturer, the drone is equipped with an IP IMX415 camera and a ViewPro A40 Pro search camera. Communications are provided via Starlink Mini, and a CUAV 3 Pro GPS module is used for navigation.

"A drone for conducting aerial reconnaissance, surveillance and fire adjustment. Equipped with a stabilised camera with optical zoom, allowing the detection and identification of targets at a safe distance. The solution is optimised for extended surveillance missions and real-time data transmission," Ratel explained.
The company said the drone continues to be upgraded and improved based on testing and operational experience.
