Russian attacks leave 350,000 households without power in Odesa Oblast

Russia carried out a large-scale missile and drone attack on key power transmission facilities in Odesa Oblast on the night of 1-2 September.

Details: The attack temporarily left more than 350,000 households in the Odesa district of the oblast without electricity, including part of the city of Odesa.

As soon as the security situation allowed, energy workers began repairs to restore power. Electricity has so far been restored to 177,000 households, meaning around 173,000 remain without power.

In addition, Russian forces damaged a DTEK production site in Odesa Oblast, including vehicles and an office building.

Background: Russian forces also struck an Ukrnafta petrol station in Odesa Oblast. The explosion destroyed the building and significantly damaged equipment.
