Kyiv mayor reports seven injured after drone strikes Security Service building

Seven people have been injured in Kyiv's Shevchenkivskyi district as a result of a Russian attack on 4 September. A drone struck the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) building.

Quote: "Seven people are now known to have been injured in the Shevchenkivskyi district. Six of those injured are in city hospitals."

Details: The SSU itself has not yet reported any deaths or injuries.

Background:

  • On the afternoon of 4 September, a Russian drone struck the SSU building in central Kyiv, near Zoloti Vorota metro station.
  • President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that a Russian drone struck the office of Oleksandr Poklad, acting head of the Security Service of Ukraine, in the SSU building in Kyiv. The general was not in his office at the time of the strike.
