The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) has said it will repair its damaged headquarters building in Kyiv, which was struck by a Russian drone during the day.

Quote from the SSU: "As for the damaged building, it will definitely be repaired. And the Russians will receive a painful response to their strikes – more special operations, exposed agent networks and destroyed enemies."

Details: Zelenskyy also posted a photo of his meeting with Oleksandr Poklad, acting Head of the SSU, and said they had discussed preparations for "our active response to the Russian strikes".

"The geography of our response has been determined. The timing will be chosen to ensure results," he wrote.

Background: On the afternoon of 4 September, a Russian drone struck Poklad's office in the SSU building in Kyiv. The general was not in his office at the time of the strike.
