Ukrainian forces strike railway bridge over North Crimean Canal – General Staff

On the night of 6-7 September, units of the Ukrainian defence forces struck a number of Russian military targets in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, including a railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal.

Quote: "Near Vladyslavivka in temporarily occupied Ukrainian Crimea, a railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal was struck. The enemy uses the bridge for military logistics."

Details: Ukrainian forces also struck Russian command posts in the villages of Nyzhnii Naholchyk and Dovzhanske in Luhansk Oblast and the village of Azovske in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

An automated Grenader technical reconnaissance post was attacked in Perekop, Crimea.

A Russian ammunition depot near the village of Teple in Luhansk Oblast was also struck.

The extent of the damage is currently being assessed.

Background:

• Drones previously attacked the railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal on 18 June.
• The railway line on which the bridge is located is strategically important to Russian forces, as it is used to transport heavy equipment and fuel for the Russian grouping on the southern front.
