Russia attacks Ukraine with 149 drones, air defence downs 128

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 149 drones on the night of 9-10 September, 128 of which have been destroyed.

Quote: "Early reports indicated that as of 08:00, [Ukrainian] air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 128 Shaheds, Gerberas and drones of other types.

Hits by aerial assets have been recorded at 13 locations and downed aerial assets (debris) have been found at nine locations."

Details: On the night of 9-10 September (from 18:00 on 9 September), Russian forces attacked with 149 Shahed (half of them jet-powered) and Gerbera attack drones and Parodiya decoy UAVs, launched from the Russian cities of Millerovo, Kursk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk as well as temporarily occupied Donetsk Oblast and Hvardiiske in Crimea.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.

The attack is ongoing, as several Russian drones are still in the airspace.
