Ukraine's General Staff confirms strikes on two Russian oil refineries

Ukrainian forces struck the Slavyansky oil refinery in Russia's Krasnodar Krai and the TANECO refinery in Tatarstan on the night of 12-13 September. The General Staff has also confirmed that the Saratov oil refinery was damaged in a strike on 11 September.

Details: A fire was reported at the Slavyansky oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban following the strike.

The General Staff said one of the storage tanks caught fire at the TANECO refinery in Nizhnekamsk.

In addition, after analysing further data, the General Staff established that the 11 September strike on the Saratov oil refinery damaged the ELOU-AVT-6 primary crude oil distillation unit and a section of the main oil pipeline.

Background: Earlier, Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reported that the strike on the Slavyansk-ECO oil refinery hit the facility's key oil-processing unit and tank farm.
