Russia attacks passenger train 2 km from Polish border

Russian forces attacked the locomotive of a passenger train in Volyn Oblast on 13 September, 2 km from the border with Poland.

Details: No one was injured in the attack, as the train crew had been warned of the threat in good time.

Background:

• On 12 September, Russian forces struck railway infrastructure in Lutsk and Fastiv. No one was injured in the attacks.
• The same day, Russian forces attacked four petrol stations in Zhytomyr Oblast.
• In Volyn Oblast, a petrol station near the Yahodyn border crossing on the border with Poland was damaged in a Russian attack and several lorries have also caught fire.
