Russian attacks cause dozens of trains to run late
As a result of Russian attacks, dozens of trains have fallen behind schedule, with those travelling from or through the central part of Ukraine experiencing the most significant delays.

Quote: "The enemy launched a massive attack on Kyiv. Our monitoring centre closely tracked the situation, allowing us to maintain passenger train operations without stopping."
Details: The capital's railway stations did not sustain damage during the attack. Kyiv City Express regional railway continues operating on a full loop, with delays ranging between 10 and 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, longer delays are occurring across Ukraine, with dozens of routes facing significant disruptions reaching up to 13 hours.
Ukrzaliznytsia noted that trains running from central regions of Ukraine, Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast are lagging furthest behind schedule.
In particular, the Zaporizhzhia-Przemyśl train is delayed by 13 hours and 19 minutes, as is the Dnipro-Uzhhorod service. The Kharkiv-Odesa train is running 11 hours and 43 minutes late and the Kyiv-Zaporizhzhia train is delayed by 11 hours and 16 minutes.
Background:
- Russian forces attacked Ukraine with Zircon/Oniks anti-ship missiles, Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles and 188 drones on the night of 29-30 September. As of 08:00, air defence forces had downed 160 aerial assets.
- In the morning, two killed were reported in Kyiv due to Russian strikes.
- On the morning of 30 September, electricity was cut off for a portion of consumers in Kyiv city, as well as in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Sumy and Kharkiv oblasts following Russian strikes on power infrastructure.
- Russian forces attacked seven civilian infrastructure facilities in Zhytomyr Oblast, starting from the evening of 29 September and continuing all through the night.
