Russian forces destroy Cersanit Invest ceramics factory in Zhytomyr Oblast

Russian forces attacked the Cersanit Invest ceramics factory in Zvahel, Zhytomyr Oblast, on the night of 11-12 September.

Details: The facility was damaged by jet-powered drones. All employees present at the factory when the attack took place were safely evacuated, and no one was killed.

The strike caused serious damage to the facility, including key elements of the ceramic tile production cycle.

Cersanit Invest said: "In its current condition, the factory cannot resume production or continue operating.

A detailed assessment of the scale of the destruction and associated losses is currently underway. Based on an initial assessment, Cersanit estimates that restoring the factory's production capacity will take at least six months."

Background: Russian forces have struck one of Ukraine's largest pharmaceutical warehouses, Universal Logistic, for two consecutive days.
