Russian attacks caused power outages in four Ukrainian oblasts

As a result of active combat and attacks targeting energy infrastructure, some consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv and Sumy oblasts were left without power as of the morning of 14 September.

Details: The ministry reports that a Russian UAV attacked a service vehicle carrying energy workers in Sumy Oblast. One employee was killed in the attack, while another was injured.

Quote: "The worker injured in the attack was taken to hospital, where he is receiving necessary medical care. We express our sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased."

Details: Additionally, severe weather conditions left consumers in Mykolaiv Oblast without electricity. Repair crews are currently working to restore power supplies.

Recovery efforts are ongoing wherever the security situation permits. No power restriction measures are forecasted for today.

Background: It was previously reported that regions affected by power outages following Russian attacks and artillery shellings doubled on 11 September. New blackouts were recorded across seven regions – Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk oblasts.
