Background:

• It was reported on 23 August that Ukraine's defence forces advanced between the village of Zapadne and the settlement of Dvorichna, in the Kupiansk district in Kharkiv Oblast, liberating more than 7 sq km of territory.
• The Khartiia corps said this was the work of their troops. "During an operation in the Dvorichna district, foreign service members from Khartiia corps' reconnaissance and sabotage group R.U.G. cleared an area southwest of Dvorichna and took control of the northern part of the settlement of Zapadne."
• It was reported that the troops liberated a forested area of 7.5 sq km.
• On 3 September, Khartiia reported that Ukrainian forces liberated another 4 sq km of Ukrainian territory between the settlements of Dvorichna and Zapadne on the Kupiansk front in Kharkiv Oblast.
