Zelenskyy: There is a high risk of attack on European countries; they must respond

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes there is a high risk of Russia attacking European countries.

Details: Zelenskyy said that, in his view, it was important for Putin to demonstrate certain results of the war to Russian society.

Quote: "It's not about us, not about Americans, not about Ukrainians. He doesn't respect anybody. His [Putin's] main issue is the Russian people, his internal society, and pressure. He fears only his nation. That's why when you have one million people on the battlefield, on the territory of another country, who are dying – 32,000, 33,000 per month – how can you explain what it is for, if you don't have any victories?"

Details: Zelenskyy believes that this is why Putin wants to break the unity between European countries or between Europe and the US in order to reduce support for Ukraine and increase pressure.

Quote: "How to divide the unity in Europe? If we build what we didn't have before the war, but we built it together. How to do it? To attack somebody else? To strike and say, 'Look, I will go further if you don't stop this'.

To do this or really to divide societies in Europe when societies will be afraid. What he's doing now, with drones attacking Moldova, Romania, crossing borders of Poland, Germany airports, Nordic countries. So he will continue doing this.

That's why the risk of an offensive by drones, missiles, or land operations is very high against other countries bordering Russia or Belarus."

"What would they have to do? Respond. Always respond. It's not about the war. If you don't respond to Russians, they will go further."

Background: Zelenskyy said at a press conference after talks with US President Donald Trump that he is ready to meet Russian leader Vladimir Putin and that the White House could help organise a trilateral meeting.
