Zelenskyy discusses production of interceptors against Russian jet-powered Shaheds and data centre protection

The Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief discussed the results of tests of interceptors against Russian jet-powered Shahed drones on 25 September.

Quote: "The teams working on interceptions delivered reports on the shoot-down rate and their experience. We identified the main capabilities that can strengthen our defence. We are accelerating production. There are also new decisions on establishing in Ukraine the production of different types of jet engines."

Details: Zelenskyy also reported on a briefing by Defence Intelligence of Ukraine on Russia's technological plans for 2027, including the systems Russia is counting on, its production capabilities, and supply chains delivering components to Russia.

Quote: "We are adjusting our countermeasures in line with these threats. A priority task for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and our entire diplomatic service is securing new sanctions packages from our partners, specifically targeting the shadow networks the Russians use to sustain the production of drones and missiles, especially ballistic missiles."

Details: The president said that additional decisions have been made to protect data centre infrastructure and ensure its uninterrupted operation, as well as that of other facilities that are critical to the communications sector.
