Trump asked Zelenskyy to travel to Moscow for meeting with Putin, but he refused, Bloomberg says
US President Donald Trump again urged his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy to travel to Moscow for a meeting with Russian ruler Vladimir Putin, but Zelenskyy refused.

Details: Bloomberg says Trump asked Zelenskyy during their meeting in New York on 22 September to travel to Moscow for talks with Putin on ending the war.
Zelenskyy rejected the proposal, while sources familiar with the Ukrainian president's position said that Trump raising the issue had irritated him.
When asked by Russian journalists when he would visit Moscow, Zelenskyy replied: "On a missile", after which he shouted a swear word.
The White House did not respond to Bloomberg's request for comment.
This week, Zelenskyy and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov held separate meetings with representatives of the Trump administration in New York. The US pushed both sides to agree to a truce on attacks against each other's energy facilities amid a sharp rise in global diesel prices.
