Russian attacks leave Ukrainians without power in five regions

Some consumers in five regions of Ukraine have been left without electricity due to Russian attacks on energy infrastructure. However, no consumption restrictions are forecasted for 29 September.

Details: Power outages were recorded in Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Donetsk, Sumy and Kharkiv oblasts. Where the security situation permits, energy workers are carrying out repair works.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Energy urged Ukrainians to shift their peak electricity consumption to the period between 10:00 and 16:00 if possible.

From 17:00 to 22:00, consumers are asked to limit the use of high-power electrical appliances to reduce the load on the power grid.

Background: Russian forces attacked Ukraine with a Zircon/Oniks anti-ship missile, two Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles and 152 drones on the night of 28-29 September. Air defence forces downed 109 aerial assets.
