Zelenskyy: main target of overnight strike was energy infrastructure in capital and Kyiv Oblast

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said the primary target of the Russian strike on the night of 29-30 September was the energy infrastructure of the capital and Kyiv Oblast.

Quote: "Since last night, emergency services and repair crews have been working to address the aftermath of the Russian strike. It was a difficult attack – nearly 190 attack drones, as well as ballistic missiles. And the main target was energy infrastructure in the capital and the Kyiv region."

Details: Zelenskyy said 14 people are currently known to have been injured across Ukraine in the attacks, and five people have been killed, including a child. He also confirmed that some of the Russian ballistic missiles were successfully intercepted. Since the evening of 29 September, Russia has continued its relentless attacks on Ukraine with jet-powered drones, particularly targeting Kyiv.
