Russia attacks Ukraine overnight with Zircon, Oniks and Iskander missiles and 188 drones
Russian forces attacked Ukraine with Zircon/Oniks anti-ship missiles, Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles and 188 drones on the night of 29-30 September. Air defence forces have downed 160 aerial assets.

On the night of 29-30 September (from 18:00 on 29 September), the Russians attacked with Zircon/Oniks anti-ship missiles launched from Kursk Oblast; Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles launched from Voronezh and Bryansk oblasts; and 188 Shahed (86 jet-powered) and Gerbera attack drones and Parodiya decoy UAVs launched from the Russian cities of Oryol, Millerovo, Kursk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk as well as the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk and from Hvardiiske and Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea.
Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.
The attack is ongoing, as several Russian drones are still in the airspace.
Background: Kyiv Oblast came under another missile and drone attack on the night of 29-30 September. A child was killed and three people injured. Houses were destroyed and damaged, and infrastructure facilities were affected.
