Details: The manufacturers signed the agreement in the presence of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, who is visiting Kyiv, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The strategic partnership builds on previous cooperation between ARX Robotics and Roboneers. In June 2026, the companies launched joint production of Rys Pro UGVs in Germany and Ukraine for supply to Ukraine's defence forces.
The press service said the new agreement establishes a partnership in "unmanned ground combat", including technical cooperation and the integration of systems and developments from both manufacturers.
Quote from Marc Wietfeld, CEO of ARX Robotics: "Together with Roboneers, we are providing the Ukrainian military with a reliable and smart fleet of UGVs on a large scale, and we are also ensuring that lessons learned on the battlefield are taken into account in the development of ground systems for other Western armies."

Background:
- Ukrainska Pravda previously reported that ARX Robotics and Deutz had produced the first batch of Gereon unmanned ground vehicles at a new facility in the German city of Ulm. The UGVs will be delivered to Ukraine's defence forces.
- Roboneers upgraded the Rys Pro UGV in May, increasing its range to 40 km and allowing it to reach 80 km when four batteries supplied with the vehicle are connected. The upgrade also included a rear-view camera, and the basic configuration comes with a Starlink Mini to provide a stable connection.
