Russian ballistic missile attack on Kyiv: hits recorded in three districts, two people killed

A Russian ballistic missile attack on the city of Kyiv on the night of 6-7 October resulted in hits in the Obolonskyi, Shevchenkivskyi and Podilskyi districts. Two people have been killed in the Darnytskyi district.

Details: Klitschko said that hits had been recorded in non-residential areas in the Obolonskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts, while warehouse premises had been hit in the Podilskyi district.
Update: Kyiv City Military Administration later reported that debris had fallen in an open area and on the grounds of a garage cooperative in the Darnytskyi district.
It added in the morning that two people had been killed in the Darnytskyi district as a result of the Russian attack.
Background: An air-raid warning was issued in Kyiv and most of Ukraine's oblasts at 03:09 due to the threat of ballistic missile strikes. A series of explosions rang out in Kyiv almost immediately after a warning was issued about missiles heading towards the city.
