A Russian strike hit Sadyba Niushanik, a bird sanctuary in Kyiv Oblast that cares for many birds and rescues dozens of orphaned storks every year.

Details: Snopko posted a video showing a large fire on the premises. She said the sanctuary's permanent bird facility, chicken coop and quail house burned down. Birds and a cat were inside when the attack occurred. Food supplies and all the centre's equipment were also damaged.
Viktoriia Moisieieva, head of the Centre for Rehabilitation and Assistance to Mustelids, called on people to support Sadyba Niushanik.
Quote from Moisieieva: "The thing I feared most has happened to our good colleagues. This is what all sanctuary owners fear. No, we cannot all just pack up and move to a 'safe' place.
If you can, please support these wonderful bird rescuers in any way you can. Reposts, subscriptions, donations, even one hryvnia."
Details: The sanctuary's website lists ways to provide financial support to the volunteers and the birds in their care.
