Eight people injured and residential buildings on fire in Kyiv after Russian attack – photos

Eight people were injured, two of whom were taken to hospital, and two residential buildings caught fire in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv as a result of a Russian attack on 7 October.

Details: In the Solomianskyi district, falling debris caused a fire in a five-storey residential building. The fire engulfed the ground to second floors. Rescue workers and medics are working at the scene.
According to the SES, firefighters rescued 12 people from the upper floors. Seven people were injured in this building, and one person was taken to hospital.
One more person was injured at another address in the Solomianskyi district. The SES noted that there was no fire or destruction there.

Klitschko also reported that a house had caught fire in the district.
In the Dniprovskyi district, debris fell near an educational institution. Early reports indicate that there is no fire.
In the Sviatoshynskyi district, debris fell onto the roof of an administrative building. The roof was partially destroyed, with no fire reported.
Updated: Klitschko later reported that the number of casualties had risen to eight.

Background: Overnight on 7 October, hits were recorded in the Obolonskyi, Shevchenkivskyi and Podilskyi districts of Kyiv as a result of a Russian ballistic missile attack. Two people were killed in the Darnytskyi district.
