Guard killed in Russian Shahed drone attack on Ivano-Frankivsk

A man was killed on the evening of 8 October when debris from a drone fell on an office building in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk.

Details: Onyshchuk said that air defence forces had been responding in the area. A fire broke out in Ivano-Frankivsk after debris from a downed drone fell.

Quote from Martsinkiv: "Ivano-Frankivsk has come under attack by a Shahed drone. Unfortunately, the debris has damaged an outbuilding. Sadly, a civilian has been killed – a security guard who was guarding the building."

• At 22:41, Ukraine's Air Force warned that a Russian drone was approaching Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, after which an air-raid warning was issued in districts across the oblast.
• At around 23:00, residents of Ivano-Frankivsk heard explosions.
