Ukraine's air defence downs 114 Russian drones, most of them jet-powered
Russia attacked Ukraine with 136 drones on the night of 8-9 October. Air defence forces have downed 114 UAVS.

Details: Russian forces used Shahed (93 jet-powered) and Gerbera attack drones and Parodiya decoy UAVs. They were launched from the Russian cities of Oryol and Primorsko-Akhtarsk as well as from the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk Oblast and Hvardiiske in Crimea.
Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.
Early reports indicated that as of 08:00, Ukrainian air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 114 Shahed (77 jet-powered) and other types of drones.
Hits by aerial assets have been recorded at eight locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at seven locations.
