Details: Fedorov said crews from Lasar's Group conducted the combat trials, shooting down two Russian jet-powered drones heading towards Kyiv within a few days. He also posted a video showing the new interceptor bringing down the first two confirmed targets.

The former minister noted that the interceptor's speed allows it to destroy jet-powered Shahed loitering munitions before they reach a city.

He added that the team is refining the technology and ramping up production. The developers aim to make the drone fully autonomous, enabling it to detect and intercept Russian UAVs without human intervention. They plan to use it to protect more Ukrainian cities in the future.

Fedorov said he and his team are working in Ukraine's private sector. In addition to the jet-powered interceptor, they are developing other technologies for air defence and frontline needs.

Quote: "Our mission remains unchanged: to win the war for independence and save people's lives. We are creating technologies and asymmetric solutions that give us an advantage over the enemy."

Background: In July, Colonel Pavlo Yelizarov submitted his resignation from the post of deputy commander of the Ukrainian Air Force.
