Background:
- On the night of 13-14 October, Russia's ballistic missile barrage targeted energy system facilities in Kyiv, Kyiv Oblast and Kharkiv – all three of the capital's CHPs were attacked that night.
- On 3 February 2026, the Darnytsia CHP sustained critical damage. As a result, over 1,100 buildings on the left bank of the capital were left without heating until the end of the season.
