Quote: "Last night, Ukraine's defence forces struck an airfield in Voronezh Oblast. Four Su-34 aircraft were destroyed and two more Su-34s were hit. The Russians used them to terrorise our people. These very warplanes were ready to launch new attacks on Ukraine and were loaded with aerial bombs.
Our long-range Neptune missile was used to strike the assets. I thank the warriors from the Ukrainian Navy for their precision!"
Details: Zelenskyy also said that strikes had been carried out on a site used to store and launch attack drones in Russia's Oryol Oblast, as well as on targets in the Black Sea.
Background:
- Earlier, the Ukrainian Navy confirmed that six Russian Su-34M bombers had been hit by a Neptune coastal missile system on the night of 14-15 October.
- A satellite image has shown the results of the strike on Russia's Borisoglebsk airfield.
