Zelenskyy: We are not losing the war
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Ukraine is not losing the war, but it is losing people and time, which is why it wants to stop Russian aggression as soon as possible.

Quote: "About losing the war: of course we are not losing this war. But we are losing people because Russia attacks. We are losing people and time. It's a pity, because our children don't have a real life, childhood – and all the people, to be honest. That's why we need to end this war as quickly as possible."
Details: Zelenskyy expressed hope that Ukraine's partners, the US and Europe, will help it achieve this.
He added that Kyiv is ready for negotiations and any form of ceasefire.
"God bless our strong soldiers. They stay strong on the battlefield, and it helps me be strong during any kind of negotiations," the president concluded.
Background:
- On 19 October, US President Donald Trump said he is ready to meet Russian ruler Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping to discuss ending the war in Ukraine, even without Zelenskyy taking part.
- Zelenskyy had accused Trump of trying to pressure Ukraine into capitulating to Russia and delaying supplies of interceptor missiles for Patriot air defence systems.
- Trump once again accused Zelenskyy of never having wanted to end Russia's war against Ukraine.
