Dnipro hit by near-total blackout: most electric-powered public transport stops as emergency power cuts imposed

Emergency power cuts have been introduced in the city of Dnipro and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast on the morning of 30 October following damage caused by Russian attacks. Almost all electric-powered public transport in the city has stopped running.

Quote from DTEK: "Following an instruction from Ukrenergo, emergency power cuts have been introduced in the city of Dnipro, the districts surrounding the city and parts of the Pavlohrad district." [Ukrenergo is Ukraine's state-owned electricity transmission operator.]
Details: Equipment in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast was severely damaged in Russian attacks on 29 October.
Hanzha said early in the morning that power engineers had managed to restore electricity to some consumers in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast overnight. However, he later wrote that Dnipro had lost power again because the damaged energy grid could not cope with the load.
Filatov urged residents to keep at least several days' worth of food and water at home and to stay indoors if possible.
"Unfortunately, Dnipro is experiencing another blackout... Please stay at home if you can, because apart from buses, no electric-powered public transport is running: neither trams, nor trolleybuses, nor the metro."
Update: Dnipro City Council's Transport Department later reported that, as of 07:30, power to the metro had been partially restored. Trains are running at 16-minute intervals.
Repair work is underway.
Background:
- DTEK reported that parts of Dnipro and nearby districts had been left without electricity following a Russian attack on the main power networks.
- More than 350,000 electricity consumers in Dnipro and nearby settlements were left without power.
