Quote: "During the ceasefire imposed in designated areas of Kherson Oblast to carry out the humanitarian mission in Oleshky, Ukraine's defence forces used the opportunities created by the safety situation to evacuate residents from the right bank of Kherson Oblast.

The evacuation involved settlements in Ukrainian-controlled territory along the Dnipro River, which had been subjected to daily attacks by Russian forces. Those who had previously been unable to leave the dangerous areas were able to evacuate.

They included 22 children and 21 people with limited mobility who required special attention and assistance."

Details: The General Staff noted that the evacuation took place in extremely difficult and dangerous conditions. The routes passed through mined and damaged roads, as well as areas where military equipment and civilian cars had been burnt out. All this significantly complicated movement and required particular caution and coordinated action by all units involved.

The General Staff stressed that units of the Pivden Group of Forces have been strictly and consistently observing the ceasefire in the area of the humanitarian mission.
