The Ukrainian company UGV Laboratory has presented an updated line of small ground robotic systems (UGVs) belonging to the Hyena family.

Details: The updated line includes the upgraded Hyena Red system, the mass-produced Hyena S logistics platform, and a working prototype of the Hyena Cobalt combat robot.
The representative stated that all platforms in the family are designed to be ready for use "out of the box" without the need for additional field modifications.
The flagship Hyena Red received a Starlink terminal in its base build, allowing it to use digital controls, while the analogue radio channel has been kept as a backup in case of jamming.
The robotic system's hull is equipped with standardised mounting points for securing the manufacturer's standard ammunition, improvised explosive devices or TM-62 anti-tank mines.
The Hyena S logistics version is equipped with a GPS module and night cameras, and it can be transformed into an observation post: the camera is raised, and the payload bay is used for additional batteries for long-term video transmission.
The system can carry a payload weighing up to 20 kg, reach the speed of 16 km/h and has a range of 12 km. The baseline Hyena combat vehicle can accommodate a warhead weighing under 26 kg, cover a distance of up to 20 km and is equipped with a self-destruct timer with an adjustable detonation time of 30 to 60 hours.
Quote: "Due to the sky being oversaturated with enemy UAVs and the presence of adjusters, the logistics of medium-sized vehicles were extremely complicated. Enter our tool, capable of filling the gap in small platforms. Some units, having both large and medium systems at their disposal, transported significantly more cargo using the small logistics Hyenas thanks to continuous operation on the routes."
Details: The upgraded Hyena Red is capable of carrying a warhead weighing under 30 kg over a distance of about 30 km at an operating speed of 16 km/h. The full supply set of the updated system has been expanded from 5 to 10 vehicles, ensuring a continuous rotation of platforms. This version's chassis is designed to overcome difficult obstacles such as rubble, ruined buildings, trenches, mud and shallow water.
The Hyena Cobalt combat system is designed to accommodate two AT4 disposable grenade launchers made by the Swedish company Saab. The platform is designed to fire two remote shots, followed by detonation near the target in kamikaze mode.
The logistics version of the Hyena S is already being fully utilised by units of the Ukrainian defence forces. The Hyena Red system is currently completing combat trials in a pre-production format that almost entirely matches the mass-produced product, after which the company will launch it into mass production. The Hyena Cobalt combat platform is ready as a working prototype; the developers are working out regulatory algorithms in order to supply the systems to customers ready for combat, complete with AT4 grenade launchers, in the future.
